1. Enrollment and Eligibility:
- Children aged 2 to 8 years old are eligible to enroll in camps at Busy Bees DC.
- Enrollment forms must be completed with accurate information about the child’s medical history, allergies, and emergency contacts.
2. Tuition and Payment:
- Tuition fees for the camps are due in advance. Each camper will be charged a $10 cleaning fee.
- Payments can be made via Venmo, Zelle, CashApp.
- Late payments may result in a late fee and could affect continued enrollment.
- Late pickup will result in a late fee of $7/minute and will need to be paid in full, in cash before returning to camp.
3. Health and Safety:
- Children who exhibit symptoms of illness, including fever, vomiting, or contagious diseases, should not attend camp until they are symptom-free for 24 hours.
- Medications can only be administered with written consent from a parent or guardian.
4. Emergency Procedures:
- In case of emergency, parents will be contacted immediately using the contact information provided on the enrollment form.
- Emergency evacuation and lockdown procedures are in place and practiced regularly.
5. Behavior Expectations:
- Children are expected to treat others with respect and kindness.
- Discipline will be handled with positive reinforcement and redirection techniques, with a focus on teaching appropriate behavior.
6. Sun Safety:
- Children should come to camp with sunscreen applied, and additional sunscreen will be applied throughout the day as needed.
- Hats and sunglasses are encouraged for outdoor activities.
7. Field Trips:
- Field trips may be organized during the summer camp program. Parents will be informed in advance and required to provide consent.
8. Personal Belongings:
- Children should bring a labeled backpack containing a change of clothes, a refillable water bottle, and any necessary comfort items.
9. Communication: – Regular communication between parents and camp staff is encouraged. Parents can expect updates on their child’s daily activities and any important announcements.
10. Schedule Changes and Refunds:
- A $50 change fee will be assessed for each change to your child’s registration. This can be deducted from your paid deposit.
- Cancellations will result in a charge of 50% of the tuition cost for the time registered. You are responsible for 100% of the tuition cost if canceled within one week of the camp session.
11. Half Day Attendance:
- Half Days are either 9a to 1p OR 1p to 5p. You must register for one or the other by the week to ensure that our staff ratios remain in tact.
- For afternoon half days, your child must have eaten lunch prior to arriving at camp. Busy Bees lunch time ends promptly at 1p.
